...Meh. I don't know. Epic 1 isn't as epic as I thought it would be, but this could be because 1) my interest in all things sentai isn't as rabid as last year's, 2) seriously, Shinkenger's first episode was definitely badass, from the withholding of the OP credits to the, I don't know, everything about it. Goseiger's OP was pretty standard, I guess, nothing that particularly stands out in my mind right now. In fact, save for the roll call (role call?) and the wings-inspired henshin sequence which were so pretty to look at, Goseiger's first episode is just okay.

I do like Agri/Moune, though - in more ways than one. I'm just a sucker for older brother/younger sister relationships in any series and hopefully they get to utilize it well here, which is why I'm already looking forward to Epic 3. I love Hyde as well, though for some reason I've always thought his name was pronounced as Hee-deh B| I may now be shipping Agri/Moune/Hyde. Just because. I was also heavily distracted by Eri's ears. I JUST CAN'T LOOK AWAY FROM THEM WHENEVER THE CAMERA IS ON HER.

ETA: because now I have a Goseiger icon, thanks to rumination!

I am in agreement. I literally finished watching epic 1 about ten seconds ago and I thought it was kind of :/ I am pleased to note that the cast is eye candy, but not as ridiculously pretty as the Shinkenger cast *sobs*

The wire work on some of the fighting towards the end was nicely done and the normal costumes are cute, but the op was so 'okay' - it just didn't grab me like Shinkenger episode 1 or Go Onger episode 1 because the plot just doesn't seem interesting at all.

:/ Color me disappointed so far. I think the ships look like Black/Yellow and Red/Pink. I want the add-on ranger to be another hot guy I can pair Hide with...

Hamtaro's lack of blinking scares me more than Eri's ears ever will.

Yes! I was weirded out when I saw a comment in one of the boards I frequent in when he/she said the cast is 'ugly as sin'. I was like ...are we watching the same people 8|

I think Red/Pink is already a given, with the whole best-friends route, though it depends. And it just might be me, but I think I'm seeing shades of Moune/Hyde XD

He's Daisuke Watanabe. He played George in Ultraman Moebius/Tezuka in some of Tenimyu and sexxed Hamtarou up good and proper Gii in the second Takumi-kun movie with Hamtarou.

The first male Blue I got really interested in was Ryunosuke, whom I thought will be a cool Blue. I was never expecting Hyde to be anything, but when he appears and was the epitome of a cool Blue - I started to like him.

Heh. I'm pretty apathetic to Red and Pink. They are cute, though - like a couple of children :D

Here's to hoping future episodes won't be as bland.

Ehhhh, the first episode kind of disappointed me. I'm not going to keep up with this series (not that... I had patience to. I mean, I stopped watching Shinkenger around ep. 10 or something.).


ffffff if you have time though you should watch Kamen Rider W. It's not bad, and in fact, it is hilarious. The main character is serious but it's all a sad attempted act to make the series look like a noir theme. And his style is cramped by a girl who looks like a middle school student despite her age. :I

Go-onger had a poor impression on me too, and it didn't help that the series was practically a joke. The acting was awful (I'm sorry, I know for Saki and Hant's actors it was their first major acting role but COME ON), and there was a lot of pointless fan service (G3 Princess anyone? even though I did buy their boxset and I want their photobook because they're so pretty). My favorite characters were Saki and Miu and even though I did focus on their character episodes, they started losing favor with me fast.

I kind of regret not keeping up with Shinkenger a lot though. It was a really good series even though wtf is up with Genta's lantern.

If you start watching W, tell me what you think! :D If you like mystery, it's pretty good. The series is a little serious but has apprpriate humor dabbed in (especially with Shotaro and Akiko hahahaha)

I actually can't stand Hant. I can't explain it, I just... don't want to see him on-screen. And Saki is probably my least favorite female yellow ever. For the first time I like a female that's not a yellow better, as both Miu and Kegareshia (sp?) managed to make me care about them more. I probably loved the wings better than the core five - their characters just didn't do anything for me :|

Haha! I usually just ignore Genta and Daigoyou, but Shinkenger is good when it wants to be - but of course there will always be parts where the story kinda stagnated. I idled out during the early 40s episodes, and I have some eps that I haven't seen yet - but I do love its finale.
