So. This is just a rundown of things I'm looking forward to:



1. My birthday. Granted I'd be 26 (SOBBBB) come Dec. 14, but still. Birthday. Yeee!

2. Christmas. Of course.

3. My glowingseer account's sponsorship will end on Dec. 11. FINALLY. I'm dying to buy Cordy a paid account with 100 userpics! unless someone else will buy me this stuff FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF yeah right I wish!

4. I won't be canceling the sponsorship for Illyria, though - and I'm really glad that if you don't refuse sponsorship it will be extended again for 90 days. OHYEAH.

5. Goseiger. Weird, though, in my mind I always call them Gosenger o____O Anyway. You all know this by now but - YELLOW'S A GIRL. I saw that pic and I went OMG NATSUKI. The costumes really do remind me of Boukenger. I miss Boukenger 8| Still, HELL YEAH! Something to watch out for come February!

6. This is related to entry # 3, because I did the following icons for my Cordy RP account:












Feel free to tell me I suck at coloring and cropping and what have you.

7. Finishing my D/Hr fic for the exchange. I swear this round is killing me. I've come to the sad conclusion that the D/Hr shipper in me is just... silent and dormant and god, my story sucks. Sorry recipient, I did everything I could :(

8. Job. Yeah I know I've been whining about this forever, but come January I will find a job. Yes I will!

The Goseiger costumes make me think of Liveman, but I'm old-skool ;)

They said it looked like a lot of things - but yeah, it does resemble Liveman's, too! Which is pretty neat. It's like a homage to so many series.

I think Shinkenger was a lot like Boukenger in some ways, so I hope Goseiger won't be too much like Boukenger, but the "angel" thing sounds interesting. I preferred the "space aliens" theory, but then Flashman already did it.

Really? Heh, I dunno. For me I never found any episode of Boukenger boring. Shinkenger, on the other hand, after that episode with Takeru as a butler my interest in the series has dwindled considerably 8\

It does! I do wish they'd make it alien, too; angel just seemed too... I don't know. Special? Idealistic? IDEK.

Well, technically the Flashmen still came from Earth, right? They were just brought into their respective planets. If ever, I think this will be the first series where the people aren't completely human.

Boukenger was where the merchandise/mecha overkill of recent series started picking up speed (although not to the extent of Go-onger or Shinkenger.) Like Shinkenger it also played on the appeal of the pretty cast and the pushing of the Pink/Red relationship, but it was the first Sentai I watched and there'll always be a special place in my heart for it.

The angel thing does sound a bit "speshul snowflake" but it depends on the character. A Mako, Go-on Blue or MagiGreen type that was an angel would be way more Mary Sueish than a Jan or Chiaki type. Non-human Rangers could be fun, it would keep the usual character roles fresh.

That's true though - I wish for the days when upgrades will be done to the original robot and they don't have to introduce new ones. Oh well. Sales are important, otherwise we'll have no show to enjoy XD I do love the cast and characters of Boukenger a lot. Plus I was a die-hard Natsuki/Masumi shipper, so that appeal of the show was just... there was a lot :P

You're right, though. It would be funny for a Chiaki-type angel to appear on Goseiger, or even a Hoji-type - strict and cold. Although I think we can at least bet that the females will be a bit Mary sue-ish; Pink is apparently maternal while Yellow is mature for her age.

Blue, too, because he's supposedly the "oldest and wisest" one. But then Takeru is a total Stu and it hasn't hurt his popularity. We'll have to wait and see.

I must be the only person in the fandom who didn't see Masumi and Natsuki's relationship as romantic :(

Ahh! So after the 14th it'll be three years :D It's weird, though. I used to have this deluded fantasy that everyone I meet is older than me - well, I guess that was true - ten years ago. UGH. Aging sucks.

I hate that I can't help it. It's not like I live a bad life, as much in it as I would like to change. And I wouldn't be this me if not for my past, and yeah. I don't know. I think mostly it's that I imagine that "they" are "all" living their dream lives or something (if only living out a dream of going to a specific country etc) while I'm stuck.

The grass and the green and all of that, I think.

If I could make just one tiny suggestion on your icons. The cropping and coloring is great but you need to lock your aspect ratio when you're cropping. Your icons look stretched and dispropotionate in spots.

If you want, I can link you some tuts on aspect ratio if you let me know what program you use.

Hmm. Probably... 7. It had a great beginning but somewhere along the way it kinda lost direction. Most eps are considered filler that does next to nothing in developing characters or plot 8|
