Haha yeah. I mean, I can get behind the storyline of having to overcome their past selves and put their relationship in the right perspective/priority, etc. I like that. BUT, you have this huge theme about them wanting to love each other as Usagi and Mamoru instead of Serenity and Endymion and then they never... really... develop their relationship.

Yeah. I always get the feeling that they're both ZOMG I LOVE YOU BECAUSE MY PAST SELF LOVED AND DIED FOR YOU SO YEAH I MIGHT AS WELL, TOO.

Plus, I just never loved these two, even in manga and anime. Then again, I'm all about loving the supporting characters :)

See that's just it. They kept SAYING they really did want to be together only as themselves... but they never DID it. You never really saw enough of them getting to know each other on their own.

Exactly. The past life had too much power/influence on their present lives - which is, of course, a huge thing in the PGSM galaxy, but it would've been nice to see how Usagi and Mamoru could have developed without the blanket Serenity/Endymion.
