Saw ep 4 and OMG since I can't download it without spending lots of money I just watched it again and again and again.



TEH AWESUM CHARACTERS

Takeru:

He's becoming more approachable. OH NOES. Can we at least have him cold and jerk-ass for ten more episodes? Because that would rock so bad. This is one of those times I hate character development - they tend to distort an already perfect character. And the way he steals the episodes. I mean, COME ON. Is there anyone who actually hates him right now? Even Chiaki - who hates everything in him - is bonding with him. He's freakin' perfect as he is!!!

Ryunosuke:

Okay, this guy is getting some undeserved hate. UNDESERVED!!! I felt extremely sorry for him when Mako hit him with the magazine. I mean he was just... screaming for attention, y'all! GIVE IT TO HIM! If he were flesh and blood I would've glomped him to death - which Mako did for me, by the way. The scenes I watched and rewatched are those of him - when he was screaming ATSUIIII and when he was all loving with Mako at the end. And it was just so sweet of him to eat Mako's terrible cooking. AMI/NEPHIKICHI-KUN REMINDER! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I think I'm in love with Aiba Hiroki right now. We have the same hairstyle!!! Sorta.

Mako:

I've said this once and I'll say it again: I HATE PINK RANGERS. Only Sakura came close to becoming a favorite - but this time, Mako's definitely on her way to becoming my first favorite pink, ever. She's just too unpredictable! I have a theory her family's rich - which explains her inability to cook - but then I don't know the first thing when it comes to cooking, too, but we're not rich. ANYWAY. I kinda love her for glomping Ryunosuke. I think it's one of the gags in the series; she glomps without warning. Also, points to her for earning Chiaki's respect (enough for him to call her Nee-san, Masumi/Sakura resemblance!!!) and also for earning (then losing) Takeru's admiration. Who wouldn't admire her when she skillfully placed Ryunosuke in his place??? And all her pink things. Even her luggage was pink. And the tiny hearts in her blouse!!! I love her, really.

Chiaki:

Chiaki calls Takeru 'Takeru' again instead of 'Tono'. YAY. I was afraid that Ep 3 would have completely removed Chiaki's insolence which makes him adorkable. Speaking of which, did anyone else get the feeling that the reason he was annoyed with Ryunosuke was that, aside from the latter being such a know-it-all, HE COMPLETELY STOLE KOTOHA'S FORMERLY UNDIVIDED ATTENTION FROM HIM? I daresay our bad boy has a crush. MWAHAHAHA.

Kotoha:

I've read people compare Kotoha to Natsuki, so here's hoping she'd also get brainwashed multiple times and turn on her team. Kidding! Kinda. I'm partial to her, although I think she's the least fleshed-out after the four episodes. We've only seen the good sides to her! I refuse to give up hope that she is EEEVILLL in some way. Come on, people, nobody can be that sweet and not have an ulterior motive!!! And it's hinted she's a bit poor, isn't she? SO WHERE DOES SHE GET HER JACKETS I LOVE THEM.

I HAVE A QUESTION: DO YOU THINK TAKERU WILL EVER CHOOSE A BRIDE FROM HIS VASSALS? If Silver is girl, then, he'll have three choices, right?

Ryuunosuke's not necessarily hated; he's just annoying for trying to act like a know-it-all and being so arrogant about everything. XD He bugs Chiaki more than Takeru bugs him!

Ehhh, for some reason I don't think anything will come out of Chiaki × Kotoha. To me they seem like people who get along well, and like Hant × Saki in Go-onger, "the young get along with the young." They do, though, have a relationship also reminiscent to Masumi and Natsuki, although not as entirely close (before anyone gets the wrong idea, it has been stated by Masumi's actor himself that Masumi isn't in love with Natsuki, he just sees her as a daughter he needs to protect). Not against the pairing but I actually think it won't happen and they'll be nothing more than close brother-sister friends.

As for Kotoha herself, well, I actually like her as a pure-hearted girl and it doesn't seem likely that she's evil. I think she may turn out sad sometimes, but her intentions are never malicious. It'd be completely out of character for her to act this way based on the presets that Toei has set. I also like her way more than Natsuki because you knew that Natsuki was painfully trying too hard to be cute and it got a little annoying within the next couple of episodes. Her actress is also pretty bad at acting but hey! I think it was her first major acting role. (She was sort of a lesser character in Swing Girls.)

With all this pairing up I wonder if anyone's paying attention to the show. :( I don't mind pairing but that seems to be on everyone's heads these days. I mean, there's lots other to glaze over about, like how ridiculous that there are servants who wave banners and everything but don't really do anything useful! And how awesome are the Shodo Phones? The Gedoushu scenes can go though because they're predictable and boring. The only thing that makes those scenes worth watching is Paku Romi.

Me too. I think shipping in sentai is a waste, actually, because (aside from verry limited instances) the hints are usually dropped at the end of the year. It's just that I NEED something to squee over a show. I'm such a girl that I need some romance in my shows. Eew, right? :P

I read this too, but the shipper in me decided that Yasuka (???) was just high when he said that. Meh.

Was she? I never notice. Then again, I'm blind when it comes to my fave character's faults. I'm just too happy she got lots of focus eps and she got brainwashed and attacked her friends because I'm in love with those plotlines. Friendly fire is awesome :D

And how awesome are the Shodo Phones?

The only other relic from a sentai show that I sooo want to have as much as this one is the one from Boukenger. I saw a couple at the mall but the differences are sooo huge I don't want to buy it. My problem is that our country usually imports Power Rangers merchandise instead of the original sentai show, so I'm not sure if the Shodo phone will make its way here. Have you seen the video if it being used in youtube? It's awesome. I also want the sword.

Ryuunosuke's my favourite too (and I've always been biased towards water elements anyway). I actually like sorta nice!Takeru even though he's not as awesome as cold!Takeru.
