serious question is serious.

First off: IT'S A BOY! I'm gonna have a nephew again :D :D :D My supposedly prophetic dreams have lied to me, sob.

ONTO THE QUESTION: I am a noob to social networking sites and mostly disinterested in them, which is why my Friendster and FB accounts had to be made for me by friends desperate that I get accounts and why they remain untouched for so long. kung nababasa mo to, sorry ka na lang at oo, tungkol sayo to. Now though, I keep hearing about Plurk and Tumblr, and I know some of you have accounts there and I was wondering, what are their advantages/disadvantages? Which is better? What should I actually expect if I get one? I am just really curious because it seems like everyone and their mother has one and, as usual, I am very late to the ~trend.

I visited a Plurk account and got promptly confused, to be honest. It resembling Twitter is a bit of a turnoff since I really don't see the sense in Twitter, but that's just me :\

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that! I have read that a lot of RP-ers seem to have moved from LJ to Plurk and/or couldn't stop talking about their games and I was like ...how?

I don't really see the point of Twitter either, so that makes two of us.

I'm probably just too wordy for Plurk. XD Shoutouts seem slightly useless to me.

THANK YOU. Most of my rl friends can't exactly explain what the appeal of Twitter is, so I remain wary of it :D

Another setback is the word count. Shortcuts are okay but some of them, I don't even know what they're supposed to be anymore.
