Idiot! Klutz! Fool! As these words were often used to describe Kotoha, they weren’t effective in hurting her anymore. The others had fallen; it’s up to her to defeat the enemy, anyway.
Fill-in for your sister! For a second she faltered; then, thinking of how she had to be strong for her sister, she regained her composure and fought on.
You really are stupid. She kept her eyes closed. Chiaki… why…? It didn’t hurt. It didn’t hurt…
But you’re amazing. You’re amazing!
Kotoha lifted her head, smiled. This one was new.
And coming from Chiaki…
“Thank you,” she said, gratefully.
