Simply Perfect
I am a severely practical person, in that I don't like laying down 7 dollars for a pair of shoes. Even 80 pesos (roughly 2 dollars) for a used book in excellent quality is not too much a good deal for me.
That said, I simply love, love, love Mary Balogh's Simply Perfect and I can honestly say that 22 dollars (plus tax!) was worth every penny. Although me pining for this book since last August or so could have helped elevate it a bit, I think my initial high regard for it could have a high price - I might have set myself up for a huge disappointment. I am severely glad I was not!
Mary Balogh is one of my favorite authors of regency romance and most of her books are in my collections of what I call the "could-be-read-again-and-again" types. I simply adore her.
